Ransom Releases Debut CD <\/b><\/h1>\n

FAIRFAX, VA — MARCH 1999<\/strong> — Ransom announced the release of their debut CD, entitled Dead No More. This full-length CD contains all original songs that mostly center around heavy Alternative Rock, but with a ton of variety. “Soliloquy” highlights the tendency for most people to be so involved with themselves that dealing with anyone else is an irritation. The catchy melody, combined with the edgy guitar work is a little reminiscent of Collective Soul. The CD’s third track is “Hideaway”, where at first, you get lulled into a dreamy state, then you feel the pain and growl of the yearning refrain, only to fall face first into the ear-splitting finish. Cleary, there is something to this CD. The band’s influences are widely varied and apparent at every turn: from Pearl Jam to Offspring to Live.
